The Challenge

Founded in 2017, the U.S. Climate Alliance is a bipartisan coalition of governors advancing state-led, high-impact climate action. After six years, the Alliance has expanded in size and influence, making up more than half of the U.S. population and GDP. The need arose for a comprehensive redesign of their website. Guided by work TBS had already delivered – updating their brand and designing their climate policy database – our team took on the next exciting task at hand.

The Solution

The Bridge Studio led the service delivery team collaborating closely with the client and partnering agencies to redesign and migrate the Alliance’s content to a new platform.

We started by studying the strategic planning documents, mapped out the organization’s information architecture and site map, and reviewed the newly minted brand identity.

We identified their target audiences and defined their goals for each group to ensure the content strategy hit the mark. Then we got to work on the user experience design and development. The original site consisted of about 30 pages. The new site launched with over 150 pages, complete with database queries, React applications, animations, and added security features. Incredibly, this project was completed in less than 4.5 months.

The Impact

The redesigned website now serves as a central hub for Alliance states and territories and showcases their collective impact. Policymakers, policy advisors, analysts, press and media can now access up-to-date climate information from across the country in one place. The new site empowers stakeholders to navigate the complexities of climate policy, foster collaboration, and catalyze sustainable change.

Special thanks to our key client collaborators at the U.S. Climate Alliance (Casey Katims, Evan Westrup, Nikki Burnett) and the United Nations Foundation (Aaron Pompeii and Wayne Grigsby), and the team at Tonic Inc (Ellen Caviglia, Natalie Taber, Chris Mancini, Kelcey Kochner, Paula Klimas, Eli Marin Rodriguez, Claire Brothers, Margaret Payne) and Inflection Point Agency (Pete Bronski) for joining forces with The Bridge Studio to deliver this incredibly robust solution. This was a legendary team of leaders.
